Barney E. Smart II
Director of Service
Baumhower’s Wings of Montgomery

Barney has worked for Baumhower’s Wings of Montgomery for 7 years. Barney’s first experience in the Hospitality business was at the “Little Brown Jug” in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he worked as a bus boy and dishwasher. Prior to becoming a team member at Baumhower’s, Barney was also the General Manager for Shoney’s in Montgomery; Bar Manager for Jim-n- Nicks BBQ; and an Assistant Manager for Taco Bell.

These experiences led him to Baumhower’s as the Director of Guest Services. Barney trained in many concepts of the restaurant industry, from buffet to casual dining. Since coming to Baumhower’s, Barney has received several awards and accomplishments including, Manager of the year for two years in a row in different positions; Manager of the Quarter; as well as Best of the Best as both Director of Café and Director of Guest Services.

Barney is an Alumnus of Alabama A&M University, where he majored in Music Education with a double minor in Business and Telecommunications.

Barney is married to Lesha Chapman Smart of Montgomery and has two boys Richard (18), and Barney III (8). Barney is active in charities for Autism and is also CEO/Editor in Chief of Double Time Entertainment Magazine.
