Mike Harvey
Director of Culinary
Baumhower’s Wings of Montgomery

Mike was born December 16, 1972, in Montgomery, Alabama. He was the 4th of ten children. As a child, he would always sit and watch his mother cook. This made him realize that he wanted to become involved in the hospitality industry and when he turned 17 he took his first job in a Krystal Restaurant. He soon decided fast food was not for him.

He later got a job as a dishwasher at a full service restaurant called, “Steak & Ale”. Everyday while he was washing dishes, he would watch the cooks as they were working and thought to himself, “I could do that.” He worked up the courage and asked about becoming a cook and the next week began his training. He attended 1 year of culinary school at Culinard in Birmingham, Alabama and came to work for Baumhower’s in 2004. Fifteen years after first starting in the hospitality he is still cooking and loving it.
