“Slim” was born in Nassau, Bahamas. His family moved to Georgia where he raised from a newborn through college.

His interest in the Culinary Arts began by watching how cooking brought his family together. He got my first job as a busser/dishwasher at The Olive Garden when he was 13. It was a family member who got him the job to help him pay for his love of sports.

Through middle school and high school he worked for many different restaurants as a means to continue his sports training and to get better at the craft of cooking. He loves the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Falcons. He is a die hard fan of both.

His family is his lifeline. His wife Alicia, daughters, Keyanna and Kendra and his son Darrell, Jr. are the reasons for his career path and future goals. His hobbies include roller skating, dancing, weightlifting and cooking.
