Jeff was born in Dearborn, Michigan and grew up in the Detroit area. He started working in the restaurant business when he was 17. He faked his age so he could be a bus boy at the fine dining restaurant at the Northville Downs Horse Race Track. After high school, Jeff went on to Michigan State University where he graduated with a degree in Food Systems Management.
After interning with Westin Hotels, Jeff got a job with Marriott Hotels and moved to Alabama and went to work at the Grand Hotel, in Point Clear. After being with Marriott for 5 years he got a promotion and left to be Director of Catering at the College of William And Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Since then he has worked with Adams Mark Hotels, Rock Creek Golf Course and the Original Oyster House at Gulf Shores and in Spanish Fort. His career has spanned over 20 years in several disciplines of the industry. He now resides with his wife of 18 years, Debra, his daughter, Whitney and son Conner in Spanish Fort, Alabama. He has been with Baumhower’s since 2008.
